Cole -11 years old and about to finish fifth grade. He is an old hat at homeschool and actually prefers it to regular school. Our last trip on a boat took him to the Bahamas and he would love to go there again. His favorite thing about being on the boat, is jumping off it.

Cooper - has more than doubled his age since his last sailing trip - he's now seven and about to start 2nd grade. His favorite thing about being on the boat is watching dolphins. He is also anxious to go back to the Bahamas.

Catherine & Bill - are both former cycling addicts, now turned on to sailing while the kids are young.  Catherine was in software design & development for 15 years and Bill was (and still is) in IT consulting.  Before the kids, both had taken extended cycling trips outside the U.S. and realized they wanted to take the kids places while they were young.

Sailing - This is our third sailboat, our first was an O'Day 222 trailer sailer which we sailed on the Great Lakes and the North Channel of Canada. Our second boat was a 37' French built steel monohull.  After we bought her, we sold the house, most of our stuff, and took off on her (kids were 3 and 7) down the east coast. We spent about a year going down the coast and over to the Bahamas.  After that trip, we realized we wanted to go farther and longer, but wanted a little more room.  So, now we are on a 44'  St. Francis catamaran and our future plans are forming and changing on a daily basis.  We are currently working on upgrading the boat and saving a little more money for the next year or so. We are hoping to be off by the fall of 2011.
